Prime funded account rules

Once you pass your Prime evaluation, the account activates as a funded account — free, with no ongoing fees. Most of the rules carry over unchanged, but four things are different.

What changes when you're funded

Evaluation Funded
Minimum trading days 1 None
Daily loss limit Fixed per size Edge DLL — scales with your profit
Consistency rule None 40% of cycle profit, checked at payout
Max Loss Limit Trails your closing balance Trails, then locks at start + $100

1. No minimum trading days

There's no day requirement on a funded Prime account. Trade as often or as rarely as your strategy calls for.

2. The Edge DLL replaces the fixed daily limit

Your daily loss limit starts at the same fixed amount it was in the evaluation, then becomes the Edge DLL — a limit that scales up as the account grows, set at 60% of your highest end-of-day profit once the account closes above its initial trail balance.

It only moves up. Losing days never shrink it. Full detail: The Prime daily loss limit.

3. Your Max Loss Limit locks

Once the account climbs past its initial trail balance, the Max Loss Limit permanently locks at your starting balance + $100 and never moves again — protecting the profit you've earned. See Prime drawdown.

4. A consistency check appears at payout

Funded Prime accounts have one consistency requirement, and it's only checked when you request a payout: your largest single day can't exceed 40% of that cycle's profit.

It resets with every payout, so one big day never blocks you permanently. See Prime consistency.

What stays the same

  • Full contract size. Your tier maximum, from your first funded trade — Prime doesn't scale your size.
  • The Max Loss Limit is still the only hard limit. Hitting it closes the account.
  • The conduct rules are unchanged — see Prohibited practices and What's allowed.
  • Your profit target no longer applies. It was the evaluation's finish line; funded accounts have payout goals instead.

Getting paid

You keep 90% of your profits, with a $500 minimum per request and disbursement within 5 business days of approval. Prime allows up to five payouts, after which the account becomes eligible to move to a live program.

Full rules: Prime payouts and Prime: after five payouts.
