Prohibited practices
Beyond the Max Loss Limit, a short list of conduct rules keeps trading fair and accounts honest. You agree to trade in good faith, using a defined, consistent, and explainable strategy.
What's not allowed
- Hedging — holding offsetting positions to lock in risk, whether within one account, across your own accounts, or coordinated with others.
- Coordinated trading — using multiple accounts to accumulate size or distribute risk across the same or correlated instruments. Each account must be traded independently, and you can't combine contracts across correlated instruments to exceed your contract limit.
- Copy or mirror trading — copying or mirroring trades from other traders, signal services, or third-party trade-copier tools. (Self-copy between your own accounts is fine.)
- Account sharing or selling — letting anyone but the verified holder trade the account, or transferring, selling, or licensing access to it.
- Market manipulation — spoofing, layering, wash trades, or any other manipulative or illegal order activity.
- Off-the-shelf bots & HFT — commercially available trading bots, high-frequency trading, and arbitrage strategies. (Your own proprietary algorithm is welcome.)
- Exploiting the simulated environment or trading through an unapproved platform.
- Holding past the close-out — all positions must be flat by the daily close-out (by default 4:59 PM ET; agricultural products close earlier). No overnight or weekend holds.
If a rule is broken
Conduct violations are reviewed at our discretion. Following review, a violation may result in denial of payouts, account closure with open positions liquidated, forfeiture of simulated balances, and/or a ban — and no refund is issued for a violation. A single accidental contract-limit breach should be corrected immediately by closing the excess; repeated or blatant violations can end the account.
You may purchase a new account after a termination. If you believe a decision was made in error, contact support — repeated violations across accounts may result in a permanent ban.
