Clear funded account rules

Once you pass your Clear evaluation, the account activates as a funded account — free, with no ongoing fees. Three things change, and one important thing doesn't.

What changes when you're funded

Evaluation Funded
Minimum trading days 2 None
Consistency rule Largest day ≤ 50% of profit None
Contract size Full tier maximum Scales with your profit
Max Loss Limit Trails your closing balance Trails, then locks at start + $100
Daily loss limit None Still none

1. The consistency gate disappears

The 50% largest-day rule was a gate on getting funded. Once you're funded it's gone — there is no consistency requirement on a funded Clear account at all.

Instead, payouts are earned through five profitable days in the cycle. That's a different kind of requirement: it asks for a pattern of profitable sessions rather than limiting how much any one of them can contribute. See Clear payouts.

2. Your contract size starts scaling

This is the big one, and it catches people out. In the evaluation you traded your full tier maximum. On a funded Clear account you start lower and scale up as you bank profit.

Your maximum size steps up through profit bands, and it updates at the end of the session — not the moment you cross a threshold. Full bands table: Clear scaling.

3. Your Max Loss Limit locks

Once the account climbs past its initial trail balance, the Max Loss Limit permanently locks at your starting balance + $100 and never moves again.

Note that requesting a payout relocks it to that same balance. See Clear drawdown.

What stays the same

  • Still no daily loss limit. The Max Loss Limit remains your only limit. See Clear has no daily loss limit.
  • Still only one hard limit. Hitting the Max Loss Limit closes the account.
  • The conduct rules are unchanged — see Prohibited practices and What's allowed.
  • Your profit target no longer applies. It was the evaluation's finish line; funded accounts have payout requirements instead.

Getting paid

You keep 90% of your profits, with a $500 minimum per request and disbursement within 5 business days of approval. Clear allows up to five payouts, after which the account becomes eligible to move to a live program.
