NinjaTrader is no longer supported

NinjaTrader — sometimes written Ninja Trader, or NT8 — is no longer supported at FundYourEdge. It is not part of our platform lineup, and our support team is not able to help you install it, connect it, configure it, or troubleshoot it.

To be clear about what that does and doesn't mean: this is not a rule violation. We are not going to close, suspend, or flag an account over which charting software you happen to open. What it means is that NinjaTrader sits outside what we support — so if your charts don't load, an order doesn't behave the way you expected, or a connection drops, we won't be able to help you work out why.

If you want a platform we can actually help you with, use one of the options below.

What to use instead

Every FundYourEdge account runs on Rithmic, and the credentials we provision are Rithmic credentials. That means they connect to any Rithmic-compatible platform — you have plenty of choice, and switching costs you nothing.

  • tradesea — our recommended platform. It's web-based, so there's nothing to install, and it connects with your Rithmic credentials in seconds. It's the fastest way to get back to trading, and it's the platform our support team knows best.
  • Other supported platforms. MotiveWave, Quantower, ATAS (OrderFlow), Bookmap, and Sierra Chart all work with your FundYourEdge-provisioned accounts. Pick whichever fits how you trade.

FundYourEdge does not provide licenses for third-party trading platforms. You're responsible for obtaining your own platform license directly from the vendor.

If you were already using NinjaTrader

Nothing about your account changes. Your evaluation or funded account, your Rithmic credentials, your balance, your progress, and your payout eligibility are all completely unaffected — none of that lives in your charting software.

Moving over is usually a five-minute job:

  1. Open a supported platform. tradesea is the quickest, since there's nothing to download.
  2. Sign in with the same Rithmic credentials you're already using — the trader code and password shown on your dashboard. You don't need new credentials, and you shouldn't request any.
  3. Accept the market-data agreements if you're prompted. If you already signed them in another platform, you won't be asked again. See Signing your market-data agreements if live prices don't appear.
  4. Check your positions. Anything you had open is still open — it lives with the account, not the platform.

Common questions

Will my account be closed or flagged if I use NinjaTrader anyway? No. Using it isn't a rule violation. You just won't be able to get help from us if something goes wrong with it.

Will support help me get NinjaTrader connected? No — that's exactly what "no longer supported" means. If you write in about a NinjaTrader problem, we'll point you back to this article and help you get set up on a supported platform instead.

Do I need new credentials to switch? No. The same Rithmic credentials on your dashboard work in every supported platform. If you've misplaced them, see Getting your Rithmic credentials.

Will NinjaTrader be supported again later? We don't have a timeline to share. If that changes, we'll update this article.
