Trading commissions and exchange fees

Every trade you place carries a small, flat commission per contract. It's the same for every trader and every account size, and it's the only per-trade cost you'll see.

What you pay per trade

Contract type Per round turn Per side
Standard and E-mini contracts — e.g. ES, NQ, CL, GC $5.00 $2.50
Micro contracts — e.g. MES, MNQ, MCL, MGC $0.50 $0.25

Every contract that isn't a micro uses the standard rate — E-minis and full-size contracts alike.

A round turn is a complete trade: the fill that opens a position plus the fill that closes it. Each of those fills is one side, so half the round-turn rate is charged when you get in and half when you get out. Commissions are per contract — trading 3 contracts costs three times as much as trading one.

Examples:

  • Buy 1 ES and sell it later: $2.50 + $2.50 = $5.00.
  • Buy 4 MNQ and sell all 4 later: 4 × $0.25 in, 4 × $0.25 out = $2.00.
  • Scale out of 2 NQ in two pieces: each contract still pays one side in and one side out, so the total is $10.00 — splitting an exit doesn't cost extra.

One all-in rate

This rate is set by FundYourEdge and is all-in. It stands in for the exchange, clearing and regulatory fees a futures trade normally carries, so there's no separate fee schedule by exchange or by product to look up — CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX products all use the same two rates above.

It applies to every account

Commissions apply to evaluation and funded accounts alike, on every package and every account size. Your evaluation is meant to show how you trade under real conditions, and real trading has costs.

How it's charged

  • It comes out of your account balance, not your card. Commissions are deducted from your simulated account balance as each fill happens. We never bill you for them separately.
  • Your balance is always net of commissions. The balance your platform shows already has commissions taken out, so it can sit slightly below your gross trade P&L.
  • It counts toward your rules. Your profit target, your Max Loss Limit and your payouts are all measured on your account balance — which already has commissions taken out. For example, a one-contract MNQ trade that gains a single tick ($0.50) nets $0.00 once its $0.50 commission is counted.

Your rate is locked in

The commission rate is fixed when your account is set up and stays with that account for its whole life. If the rate ever changes, it applies to new accounts only — never to an account you already hold.

Not the same as market-data fees

Commissions are separate from market data. Non-Professional market data is included with your account at no extra cost. If you register as a Professional user, the exchanges charge a monthly market-data fee on top — see Signing your market-data agreements for who that applies to.
